Mayor Waller and her family have lived in Liverpool for more than 60 years.
Liverpool has a strong heritage as the fourth oldest township in Australia and is a vibrant multicultural city which is now home to more than 150 nationalities. We need to embrace our past and envisage our future as the city moves towards becoming the third major CBD in NSW.
Council’s role is vital in shaping the Liverpool of tomorrow: a city with many opportunities where people can work, find recreation, access education and have a place to call home.
Mayor Waller was first elected to Council in 1995 and became the first woman to be elected Mayor in 2008 and was re-elected as Mayor in September 2016. She’s also an Executive Member of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association NSW, has a Masters in Social Administration and an Executive Certificate in Local Government from UTS.
Her priority, as Liverpool embraces rapid growth, is to ensure the community we know and love shares in the opportunities ahead. Liverpool is a city on the move.
