Fiona Morrison is the Commissioner for Open Spaces and Parklands at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. As Commissioner she is leading more than $160 million State Government Open Space and Greening Sydney Programs. This includes developing the Everyone Can Play in NSW inclusive play guidelines and launching the 5 Million Trees of Greater Sydney program.
Fiona has over 20 years of experience and expertise in landscape and open space, including within the development industry at Lendlease, State Government and local government including Ryde, Newcastle and Woollahra.
During her time with local government she delivered many award-winning projects and programs including inclusive playspaces and strategic planning for open space. Notable industry successes include the creation of a 900 hectare Regional Park in Western Sydney as a part of the delivery of new master planned communities.
